What is the opportunity?

As a Journal Entry Processor, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for posting journal entries, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.


What will you do?


  • Verifying and processing journal entries

  • Ensure all journal entries have appropriate support and authorization

  • Tracking journal entry status

  • Communicating with other teams on journal entry status or issues

  • Identify and document, process inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations for enhancement

  • Exercise due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

  • Provide consistent and high-quality service in posting of journal entries within established benchmarks contributing to achievement of service levels

  • Assist in reviews of procedure documents, audit requests and SOX reviews.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:


  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • 2 years of proven experience in accounting

  • Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills and ability to prioritize activities to ensure objectives are met

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, intermediate to advanced excel, SOX, SAP

  • Some knowledge of all Regulatory and Compliance rules, Internal Audit reviews


Nice-to-have:


  • Knowledge with processing journal entries,

  • People Soft experience

  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma (LSS) or process improvement
