Job Description:
Showcase your communication and organization strengths as Banquet Manager, where you will lead and liaise among multiple departments to ensure each group function is truly exceptional.

Your Job Duties Include:

  1. Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the Banquet Department
  2. Ensure all functions maintain a first class and positive visual impact; including ambiance, décor and service delivery
  3. Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
  4. Assist with coaching and training the Banquet team in all aspects of the department
  5. Process all banquet bills to ensure financial reporting is accurate
  6. Respond to guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
  7. Assume responsibility for all banquet facilities, including cleanliness, repair and maintenance, reporting any deficiencies as required
  8. Work closely with the Culinary and Stewarding team to ensure all banquet requirements are in place
  9. Attend pre-conference, daily convention, and leadership meetings when required
  10. Liaise with the Conference Services/Catering Department to ensure events are executed successfully
  11. Liaise with onsite meeting planner to ensure clients’ needs are being met
  12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Your experience and skills include:

  1. Previous leadership experience in food and beverage required
  2. Pro Serve certification is required
  3. Valid Alberta Drivers License required
  4. Previous experience in a hotel banquet setting preferred
  5. Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required and knowledge of the Sales and Catering system preferred
  6. Train the Trainer and Interaction Management an asset

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
