What will you do in this job?

The food and beverage supervisor will offer daily support, coaching, and direction to the front of house team in the pursuit of hospitality excellence. This role directly supports the food and beverage Manager in meeting and delivering upon our core values, standard operating procedures, and business targets.

1. Provide support, training, and coaching to ensure the front of house team delivers an interactive, knowledgeable, and professional food and beverage experience.
2. Actively participate in the daily food and beverage operation including coordination of scheduling, recognition, and performance management duties.
3. Ensure a memorable and positive experience for our guests and staff through implementing and delivering upon the standard operating policies and procedures as they relate to the food and beverage operations, safety, and employee engagement.
4. Ensure accurate cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
5. Preparation and verification of daily cash reports.
6. Act as the direct line of support in handling any service-related issues, actively listening to guest concerns/issues and finding effective resolutions.
7. Coordinate staff breaks and lunches as required.
8. Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees.
9. Coordinate food and beverage orders and inventory with the Food and Beverage Manager.
10. Interact with customers to attain feedback regarding their experiences, following up on any issues and passing on any bigger issues requiring further action to management.
11. Ensure the restaurant area is clean and organized at all times.
12. Other duties as assigned by the food and beverage Manager.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

1. 1 year of F&B Supervisor experience.
2. Second language an asset.
3. Natural ability to lead a team.
4. Detail-oriented with good communication skills.
5. Strong hospitality/service skills.
6. Microsoft Office proficient.
7. POS system experience.
8. Cash handling experience.
9. High volume experience.
10. Handle stress in a professional manner.
11. Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
12. Experience with cash-out procedures.
13. Experience in a similar leadership role an asset.
14. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments. Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail).
15. Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards.
