They have at least one full winter season of ski area snowcat operating experience and are responsible for safe and efficient operation of a Prinoth snowcat to help maintain the slopes under the direction of the Grooming & Snowmaking Supervisor.Grooming Operator – Grade 2 candidates will have demonstrated the ability to groom most runs at Marmot Basin, are familiar with Marmot Basin’s regular grooming circuits, can lead/oversee Grade 1 Operators and work on special projects. Grade 2 Grooming Operators will demonstrate the ability/aptitude to operate a tower-winch snowcat and will be provided training/mentorship on winch operations.The incumbent should expect to be working outside in any, all and sometimes adverse weather conditions and must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.This is a full-time seasonal role, 4 afternoons/evenings out of 7 per week.
