A public accounting firm in mid-town Toronto is seeking a professional staff member with at least one year of experience in public practice. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and completing audits. Ideal candidates are working towards their CPA designation and possess excellent communication skills and knowledge of Canadian taxation. This is a permanent full-time role offering a competitive compensation package.
Professional staff members in this position have at least one year experience in a public accounting firm. This position is responsible for various engagements and may at times be involved in two or more assignments simultaneously. Professional staff members must have a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principals (GAAP and GAAS) and Canadian taxation to be able to carry out and supervise field work in the more complex areas of the audit.
