There is often a high bar for quality of work and for care we show to customers and colleagues. It’s about curiosity and drive to solve right problems and agility in learning new ways of thinking.

Autonomy and flexibility are part of Jane. You can block out time for personal matters. We have channels for parents, plants, furry friends, food, pride, wellness, and more. We connect virtually and in person through departmental events, company retreats, or conferences across North America.

You can learn more about Jane from Glassdoor reviews and Capterra reviews.

We’re growing and navigating a dynamic environment. If you’re resourceful and enjoy solving problems, you’ll fit right in.

We value collaboration, humility, and a growth mindset. If you’re excited about helping those who help others, reach out to learn more.

In short, if you’re excited by growth and want to contribute to a challenging yet rewarding environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role in Our Journey

As an Intermediate Software Developer on the Clinical Forms team, you’ll help transform the way practitioners and patients interact with intake forms and care information. You’ll build tools that streamline steps before an appointment, making it easy for patients to share information, and ensuring practitioners can access and use that data during care. This role focuses on meaningful, intuitive, and joyful workflows that support practitioners while protecting sensitive health data with high standards of care.

If you’re passionate about tackling challenging projects and making a real impact in healthcare, you’ll be a great fit for this team.

The Impact You Could Have
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features for our customers.
  • Participate in the execution of technical projects, informing complexity and enhancing the reliability of existing systems.
  • Contribute to the codebase as a hands-on engineer.
  • Maintain and enhance a high-quality, highly observable system.
The Experience We Feel We Need
  • Full Stack Development: Demonstrated ability in delivering projects end-to-end with an understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Hands-on Coding: Our development team primarily works with Ruby on Rails, but we welcome applicants with experience in other OOP languages. We use Typescript/React on the front-end. You’ll have the resources to ramp up on our stack.
  • Communication Skills: Verbal and written.
  • Agile Experience: Experience in agile environments or incremental delivery of value.
  • Collaboration: Passionate about collaborative development including mobbing or pair programming.
  • Problem Solving: Experience working through ambiguous problems.
  • Monitoring and Observability: Knowledge of monitoring and observability patterns.
