Job description

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking an Intermediate Software Developer for a permanent role with a client of ours located in downtown Vancouver. The role requires team members to be in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the option to work remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Scope of Duties

• Work on innovative and emerging products that are reshaping the industry
• Drive team success by setting an example through your work, providing guidance, and leading the team towards achieving results.
• Contribute to the process of improving our software architecture and technology, as well as refine team processes to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with engineers of all levels and learn from close collaboration with Senior and Staff+ engineers.
• Actively participate in team operations, contributing ideas to meet customer needs.
• Contribute and lead design discussions related to code architecture.
• Iterate and improve current development processes to ensure top-tier uptime and efficiency.
• Ensure the team achieves its OKRs by delivering high-quality, reliable features executed with velocity.

Requirements

• 2+ professional years of experience as a full-stack software developer;
• 2+ years of professional experience with React/Typescript;
• Experience working cross-functionally with product teams in a SaaS environment
• A strong understanding of the business and strategic factors involved in software development projects, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately estimate the time needed to complete your work.
• You have a strong history of navigating the software problem-solving process, including engaging in discussions, exploring multiple solutions, and critically evaluating each option.

It Will Be Considered a Plus

• Experience working on SaaS platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or GCP.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards ADA, WCAG
