Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, the Director of Information and Communications Technology & Privacy Officer’s primary responsibility is to oversee the development, operations and support of hospital wide ICT applications and infrastructure at Ross Memorial Hospital and shared services at Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS). The role is also responsible for overseeing, implementing, and monitoring the hospital’s privacy program to ensure compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and other applicable provincial and federal legislation.
The Director will plan, coordinate, and lead all operational activities of the ICT department, as well as provide direction and support for ICT solutions and associated standards and information security to enhance business and clinical operations. The Director of ICT will work closely with clinical managers and decision makers in other departments and external stakeholders to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost‑effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
The position will also be responsible for developing compliance strategies, supporting data sharing, ensuring regulatory compliance, investigating privacy complaints and incidents, conducting audits, conducting privacy reviews / reviewing privacy impact assessments, and developing policies, procedures and training materials relating to privacy compliance.
This position is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of ICT projects or other corporate projects as assigned. The position includes project management activities, financial management of project related budgets and direct management of ICT resources to ensure the project goals and objectives are met in accordance with the specifications and aligned with the strategic plan and goals and objectives.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
