Insurance Litigation Associate – Toronto (Mid-Level Associate)

Our lawyers act for underwriters, insurance companies, and self-insured corporations located across Canada, the United States, Germany, and the UK.

We are seeking an associate lawyer with three to seven years of experience to join our highly regarded insurance litigation practice in our Toronto office.

Position Description:

As a mid-level associate, you will defend a diverse range of insurance litigation matters, including property damage, construction, product liability, transportation, and personal injury claims. You will manage your own files independently and collaborate with senior counsel on larger complex cases.

Candidate Requirements:

You have strong litigation skills developed over three to seven years of practice and are confident managing your own files. You have experience defending property damage, construction, product liability, transportation, and/or personal injury claims, as well as reporting to insurers. You are comfortable conducting discoveries, mediations, and contested motions. Trial experience is an asset, although not required. You are eager to apply your persuasive negotiation skills as part of a team with a busy practice.
