Position Summary

The City of Regina is seeking a dedicated IT professional with project management experience to support Mosaic Stadium operations and ensure reliable performance of critical technology systems.

If you have expertise in IT infrastructure, vendor management, event operations, and emerging technologies, join our team in this two‑year term role. This position is responsible for maintaining and operating the in‑house broadcasting system and digital signage platform, managing contracts and vendors, and overseeing the stadium’s broader IT environment. Additional responsibilities include documenting current systems, developing five‑year plans for equipment and network upgrades, managing warranties, procuring equipment, and supporting event operations to ensure all systems function smoothly. The role will also stay current with evolving IT and OT technologies and provide forward‑thinking recommendations—including opportunities for the adoption of AI‑driven tools and processes—to enhance stadium operations and service delivery.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical resource on complex infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project management principles and methodologies.
  • Lead or assist with project management tasks, including resource coordination, scheduling, and status reporting.
  • Supervise staff members assigned to projects and tasks.
  • Monitor technology trends—including emerging IT, OT, and AI technologies—and recommend operational and tactical improvements to enhance stadium IT services.
  • Conduct technical research on infrastructure upgrades and recommend solutions for short-, medium-, and long‑term planning, including five‑year roadmaps for stadium IT and network systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop IT business plans, strategies, and modernization initiatives.
  • Design, install, and maintain technical infrastructure to support efficient, reliable, and secure stadium operations.
  • Develop and implement procedures and standards for integrating new or upgraded systems, including AI‑enabled tools where appropriate.
  • Ensure operational security, including vulnerability management, patching, rights management, authentication, and alignment with IT/OT security practices.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to team members while supporting corporate frameworks, policies, and continuous improvement.
  • Support event operations by ensuring that IT systems are ready, resilient, and responsive during major stadium events.
Key Qualifications
  • Strong ability to analyze, solve problems, and make strategic decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations and technical documentation.
  • Proven experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting server and network infrastructures, virtualization, security, and cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and experience managing IT projects.
  • Ability to supervise and provide guidance to team members effectively.
  • Good understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Education and experience: Two‑year diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or a degree in Computer Science, plus 6–8 years in senior technical roles; relevant certifications (Microsoft, Linux, virtualization, IT security, networking, ITIL) are an asset.
