A regional school district in Canada is seeking an Information Technology Services Technician Level 2. This role involves installing, supporting, and maintaining computer systems and networks, with a focus on providing technical assistance and training to end users. Qualicum School District is centrally situated on east Vancouver Island and covers the area of Nanoose Bay to Bowser and spans from Errington across the Strait of Georgia to Lasqueti Island. We serve a student population of approximately 4700 students. Qualicum School District consists of eight elementary schools (Grades K-7), two secondary schools (Grade 8-12), an alternate school (PASS/Woodwinds) and a Distributed Learning program to support home-learning families called the Collaborative Education Alternative Program (CEAP). False Bay School on Lasqueti Island is entirely off-grid with an immense solar project recently completed. Information Technology Services Technician Level 2
Installs, supports and maintains computer systems, networks and equipment including, but not limited to, databases, directory services, network security, device management, network infrastructure, communication. Provides computer and devices support, technical assistance, development and training on systems applications and report processing to end users. Analyzes and tests existing systems, defines user requirements and specifications. Recommends, monitors, supports and revises projects and provides technical information and IT expertise.

This position is 40.00 hours per week, 12 months per year. This position would have a full benefits package and enrollment in a defined pension plan.
