Position Overview
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Industrial Electrician plays a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems within the warehouse. This hands-on role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work independently, communicate effectively, and uphold high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Repair
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Identify MHE problems and work with operators to ensure the vendor is contacted to do the repair
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Maintain lighting systems, including LED fixtures, and perform basic building maintenance.
  • Manage battery watering, sweeper/scrubber upkeep, and vendor coordination for rentals and fleet augmentation.
Technical Support & Problem Solving
  • Able to identify problems associated with MHE.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate issues and manage spare parts.
  • Document findings and communicate resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid Ontario Electrician License (309A or 442A).
  • 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a warehouse or distribution centre.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and a commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced 3PL industry is an asset.
  • Additional assets: PLC knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, completed apprenticeship, JHSC certification.
Additional Requirements
  • Day shift and afternoon shift open position
  • On-call availability on the weekends and must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs and repetitive motion.
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • MHE license & scissor lift license an asset
  • Experience working with conveyor, control systems
