Job summary

A community health organization in Ontario is seeking a Natural Helper to address addictions and mental health through counseling and cultural teachings. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Indigenous culture, experience working with Aboriginal children and families, and relevant post-secondary education. Responsibilities include facilitating culturally appropriate services and promoting cultural awareness within the community. This role requires strong ethical standards and effective communication skills, with computer literacy being essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and heritage required.
• Experience with Aboriginal children and families in a healing capacity needed.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision essential.
• Must provide a clear criminal reference check (CPIC).
• Experience in program planning, development, and evaluation required.
