Job summary

A regional health authority is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to Indigenous clients. The role includes assessment, health teaching, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure culturally safe practices. Candidates must be registered with the BC College of Nurses and have a minimum of two years’ experience working with Indigenous communities. A valid BC driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience working with Indigenous communities.
  • Understanding of Indigenous-specific racism and health impacts.
  • Knowledge of health services available for Indigenous patients.

Responsibilities

  • Implement nursing care for Indigenous clients in health care settings.
  • Conduct assessments and case management for patients.
  • Participate in consultation and referral processes.
