Job description

A busy professional family in Montreal is looking for a childcare provider who will also do housekeeping and other domestic duties. This is a permanent, full-time position: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Hours are split into two shifts: the first from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the second from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Salary is $17.88/hour. Two days off are usually Saturday and Sunday, but this may vary depending on the employer’s schedule, so flexibility is essential. There is an option to live in with the employer at no additional cost. The caregiver may be required to look after the home and care for the children in the parents’ absence. Languages: French or English.

Qualifications
  • General high school diploma – Completed
  • 1‑2 years of experience with children or equivalent experience, either through work or studies as a teacher, nurse, midwife, or psychologist is required.
  • Punctuality, reliability, judgment, sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, experience with children.
