Qualifications

• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and lay out reference points for installation.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
• Coach and instruct apprentices.
• Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
• Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant.
• Interpret gas codes.
• Handle, recover and store refrigerants.
• Repair and replace parts and components for refrigeration systems.
