Qualifications

  • Canadian experience is required.

Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systems has been a leader in the industry for over 40 years. We specialize in prefabrication and the installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator with prior construction industry experience and strong administrative skills to join our team at our corporate office in Maple Ridge.

This position works directly with employees at all levels and provides exceptional technical and administrative support to the department. The role requires a positive attitude, the ability to handle a high volume of information, and different tasks throughout the day while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. We are looking for a self‑motivated professional in data entry in high‑volume, fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of employee records
  • Enter data, update, and maintain information in HRIS and any other related platforms used by HR
  • Provide benefits administration support for employees' onboarding, tracking, and terminations
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of candidates
  • Assist with all internal and external HR‑related inquiries or requests
  • Update records of new and existing employees
  • Assist with general communication (phone, emails, and in‑person) with staff
  • Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary
  • Photocopy and scan documents as required
  • Create new files and records as necessary
  • Assist with special projects and reports
  • Maintain confidentiality of all HR and employee data
  • Perform other duties as required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator is required
  • Formal education in Human Resources is required
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is required
  • Understanding of Human Rights legislation and the BC Employment Standards Act is required
  • Canadian experience is required
Work Conditions
  • This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), office‑based position
  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
  • Overtime as required
