Overview

Reporting line: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner plays a strategic and engaging role while remaining a key player in day-to-day operations. By combining long-term vision with operational expertise, they influence managers and employees to support decision-making, talent development and team engagement. The role requires anticipation of HR challenges, proposing innovative solutions and ensuring effective operational management to align organizational strategies with operational realities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a frontline HR partner to managers on all matters related to human resources management: disciplinary action, performance, total compensation, talent management and other HR processes.
  • Develop influence and support managers by coaching them to become strong drivers of engagement and performance.
  • Serve as a resource for talent development and retention matters.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of HR programs, oversee their success, and guarantee alignment with operational realities.
  • Participate in various projects in collaboration with the HR team using a project management approach.
  • Stay up to date on HR trends and best practices, contributing to the adoption of innovative solutions aligned with company strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador of company values and contribute to a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources combined with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience.
  • Relevant experience in construction, engineering, or the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written (French and English).
  • Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (an asset).
