Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a national organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation to recruit an HR Policy Specialist for a 6-month FTC. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone inquisitive, experienced and confident in shaping high-quality people policies that genuinely support colleagues and leaders.

The organisation works at pace with a commercial mindset, while fostering a culture that encourages practical thinking, independence and trust. The ideal candidate will know what "good" looks like and bring clarity, warmth and consistency to the policy suite.

The role
  • Reviewing, rewriting and modernising the full range of HR policies, processes and template letters
  • Ensuring a simple, gentle and friendly tone of voice across all documents
  • Improving the clarity and consistency of letters for disciplinary, grievance and absence processes
  • Working closely with HR stakeholders to understand needs and incorporate best practice
  • Creating a clear, accessible and people-centred policy library
About you
  • Proven experience rewriting HR policies, ideally within a transforming or fast‑paced organisation
  • A solid background in Employee Relations or Legal, with strong employment knowledge
  • Naturally inquisitive, with the confidence to challenge, simplify and improve
  • A clear, warm communicator with a real eye for detail
  • Comfortable working with autonomy and delivering at pace
