A dynamic international company in Toronto is seeking a proactive HR professional to implement HR strategies and provide support to managers. The role involves strategic planning, HR operations, and office management. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a strategic vision, along with fluency in English and French. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on employee development and legal compliance.
As a member of our Human Resources department (a team of 7), you will operate in a dynamic international environment with a multi scope. You will be responsible for deploying and implementing our HR strategy for a dedicated population of managers and employees, tailoring your approach to business specificities while ensuring compliance with local employment legislation.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with managers to adapt resources to operational needs (target organization, skills mapping, training, and change management).
Development: Prepare and validate development plans to support employee growth and business goals.
Daily Support: Provide guidance on individual and collective management (recruitment, mobility, talent management).
Culture: Support managers in cultivating an engaged, empowered, and inclusive workplace culture.
Policy Implementation: Lead HR processes including Recruitment, Career Management, and Training.
Administration: Manage employment contracts, time/absence tracking, and administrative follow-up.
Legal Compliance: Ensure the application of employment legislation to mitigate risks and uphold HR procedures across departments.
Project management & Innovation: Take ownership of the HR projects that will enable smartTrade to achieve its objectives and implement its strategy (employer branding, learning and development, employee experience, digitalization).
Data-Driven: Analyze HR indicators to continuously improve our internal practices.
Local Operations: Lead the daily life of the Toronto office (Including ordering office and kitchen supplies, supporting the office refurbishment, liaising with building management for maintenance and issues).
Community: Organize onsite and offsite staff events and act as the main point of contact for building management.
Strategic Vision: Ability to address long-term company issues while promoting fairness and policy compliance.
Versatility: Comfortable multi-tasking across recruitment, training, employment law, and payroll.
Soft Skills: Active listener, thorough communicator, and confident decision-maker.
Influence: Strong persuasion skills to champion new ideas and projects.
Language: Fluent in English and French
