JOB OVERVIEW
This position is being hired on a term basis to provide coverage during an upcoming maternity leave, our target start date is Feb 2nd, 2026. We are hoping for an experienced hospitality individual to join our team to support during this leave.
The Hostel and Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hostel operations, including managing hostel attendants and the hostel supervisor to ensure strong team coordination, up to date training and clear communication. This role ensures guest consumables are stocked, cleanliness is maintained, and guests enjoy a positive experience from check‑in to check‑out. The manager identifies areas for improvement and implements enhancements to the guest experience. They oversee all booking engines, rates, and availability for the Hostel, Huts, and Shadow Lake Lodge, identifying opportunities for growth and optimizing revenue. They are responsible for the hostel website, blog, social media, and OTA connections, ensuring all content, listings, and guest communications are current and updated seasonally. Oversee the Huts Reservation Agent, managing the booking system, rates, availability, and inquiries, while keeping the huts team aligned on projects and updates.
