Overview

Alta Equipment Company recently acquired AULT! AULT is one of North America’s best-performing equipment suppliers, exclusive distributors of brands recognized as industry benchmarks: McCloskey, Lippmann, MWS, Superior, McCloskey Environmental and Ecoverse, throughout Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec. Come work for one of the largest equipment dealerships in North America! We are looking for a Technician/Mechanic with diesel, agricultural, or heavy equipment repair experience to join our team.

Technicians are at the backbone of our organization; therefore, we provide them with the tools and resources to be successful.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment upon initial delivery for defects
  • Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand or power tools
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on equipment
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
  • Maintain the condition of the mobile service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Additional duties as required
  • Domestic travel is mandatory
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience performing service repairs
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Ability to use basic computer functions and the MS-Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to work alone or as a member of a team with other tradespersons
  • Capability of working outside in all types of weather for on-site customer service and inside a shop
  • Strong work ethic, reliability and dependability
