Heavy Construction Equipment Operator

  • The position requires travel to various locations in the Acheson/Edmonton and surrounding areas.
  • Travel expenses are covered by the employer for travel outside the Edmonton area.

  • $34.00 to $38.00/hour (based on skills and experience)

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
• Secure special attachments to equipment
• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
• Perform minor repairs to equipment
• Monitor safety conditions
