A leading project management firm is seeking a Safety Advisor for a major transit infrastructure project in Edmonton, AB. The role involves supporting safe practices in fabrication and installation, conducting daily inspections, and delivering training sessions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant safety experience, union project experience, and a strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations. This contract-to-hire position offers a pay range of $38.50 - $43.30/hr and is fully onsite.
This is a large-scale, multi‑billion‑dollar transit infrastructure project delivered under a Project Labour Agreement (PLA), with multiple contractor teams handling civil, structural, and systems scopes.
The guideway contract scope includes:
The precast yard produces thousands of concrete segments. These are cast, stored, and staged onsite, then transported and installed along the alignment using specialized gantry cranes. The yard includes a batch plant, steel fabrication building, and rail‑mounted cranes, and will remain active through the duration of the project. Early morning operations and off‑hour deliveries are approved to maintain schedule.
This scope is high‑impact and fast‑paced. Guideway work is one of the most visible and technically demanding parts of the project.
