Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health Care Aides/Caregivers/Personal Support Workers to join our Talent Pool. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being. You must be registered in the HCA Directory to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
  • Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
  • Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
  • Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
  • Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices
Requirements
  • HCA Directory Registration in Alberta
  • Negative TB Test from within the past 6 months
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector from within the past 6 months
  • Personal Care
  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as customer service
  • Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency is an asset
  • Provide high-quality care services with current knowledge of practices for community care
  • Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs, squat, bend, stand and reach
  • Reliable transportation; driver's license and automobile
Shift and Locations
