Hardware Validation Engineering Technician

Job Title: Hardware Validation Engineering Technician
Location: Longueuil, QC J3Y
Duration: 12 Months Contract to hire
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Description/Comment:
Responsibilities
  • Become part of our dynamic bikes, scooter and stations hardware engineering team. You will have a high degree of control on your work, while being supported by a team of experts in vehicle and charging station design.
  • Execute Durability, Electrical and Functional Validation Testing Activities for component, module and system level testing of our electronic products.
  • Help prototype and fabricate module level test fixtures for non-standard reliability tests per design provided by the design and engineering team.
  • Support maintenance and repair for prototype test fixtures.
  • Execute test plans for all phases of product testing, using test scripts, test fixtures and manual testing, in collaboration with HW/SW design teams to support validation testing activities.
  • Execute test plan and provide data analytics from tests conducted.
  • Execute test strategy, test cases, review functional and environmental test plans.
  • Investigate test failures through data analysis and failure reproduction.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the safety, performance, and customer satisfaction with our products.
  • Collaborate with various Design and Engineering teams.
Experience & Skills:
  • Professional DEC (CEGEP diploma) or equivalent in electronics.
  • Experience in reading engineering assembly drawings.
  • Excellent lab skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience following SOPs, making plots/charts and making simple presentations in either MS suite or Gdocs.
  • Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment.
  • Able to communicate in French and English effectively. French mandatory for this position.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Knowledgeable or passionate about electric transportation, batteries, or bikes a definite asset.
