Job description

Job Duties

• Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures as required
• Transfer equipment, appliances, construction materials as needed
• Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties
• Take garbage from resort to landfill daily
• Maintain lawns, trees, bushes and grass along roadsides
• Maintain highway and resort signs to keep looking new so guests can navigate easily
• Operate and maintain power mowers, excavator, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws and other landscape maintenance equipment
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.

Job Requirements

• Able to work long hours in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds repeatedly over short periods of time
• Be able to work independently and part of a team
• Experience working with and maintaining equipment is an asset
• Previous experience working with lawn care is an asset
• Not afraid of animals
• Able to travel by boat with out getting sick
• Punctual and attention to detail
• Good customer service when dealing with guests questions
