Job summary

A major mining corporation in Ontario is seeking a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate for a Mechanical Maintenance role at Detour Lake Mine. This full-time position will involve assisting with maintenance tasks, engaging in safety initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities. The work schedule is 14 days on, 14 days off, with meals and accommodations provided on-site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily mechanical engineering tasks related to mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Support the planning, design, and scheduling of maintenance activities for mobile mining equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to optimize maintenance performance.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety.
