A mining company in Canada is seeking a Geologist to manage geological tasks and projects in the Underground Production Geology team. The role involves providing quality geological information, supervising drill hole planning and mapping, as well as ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of geology experience and a Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering, along with knowledge of relevant software and underground production experience. Reporting to the Underground Production Geology Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will play an important role in performing good geological practices in terms of providing quality geological information to mine operations to maximize the mining of the resource. You will also play an important role in drill hole planning and follow-up, supervising mapping - core logging – sampling – 3D modelling/interpretation activities as well as ensuring compliance with QA/QC. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
