Job description

Our client now has a vacancy to join and well established GP / Family Medicine practice in the thriving city of Edmonton, Alberta.

The practice has been operating since 2014 and is also a teaching practice. They are now able to take on 2 more full time GP`s to meet the high patient demand there.

About the Role and Benefits:

Working hours are usually Monday - Friday 9-5, some weekends can be included but open to negotiation.

On calls are on a rotation between all the doctors - one week every 7 weeks.

Support team consists of four Medical Office Assistants that help with rooming, charting. Clinic Lead that assists with minor procedures, and scheduling. An Office Manager that assists with building, setting up and billing assistance of practice. Primary Care Network that will assist with BCH, Dietitian and Nursing.

There are also visiting specialists - A Paeditrician twice a week, General Surgeon once a week, Psychiatry twice a month, Women`s Health, two - three times a week.

Doctors keep 75% of all billings to patients.

Average earnings for GP`s in the practice is around$450,000 CAD per annum.

GP`s also have access to a Health Benefit Plan (optional), free parking, MOA assistance. The employer believes in a good work / life balance and will assist in any way to make sure the doctor`s practice runs smoothly. Theywill set GP`s up with a business license, training on their EMR system, assist with billing and course if needed, scheduling and anything to help with growing your practice.

The Location:

Edmonton is a great city to be based in. The workplace is also close to a major highway - easy access to come from the opposite side of town if need be - newer houses being built across the street and extending further north. The clinic is in a complex that also has a physiotherapist, supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants etc. It is a new build practice (2018), with air-conditioning, lots of parking, fully disability accessible, large consulting rooms, staff/meeting/conference room.
