Overview

We\'re seeking a General Manager to join us at Bluebird. Bluebird is a wood-fired steakhouse featuring the best of Alberta beef including your favorite classic cuts and all-day-roasted Prime rib. Bluebird is where brunch and cocktails collide into fireside lunch which glides into happy hour and then swooshes into dinner where the après begins. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the venue. Through the exercise of discretion and independent judgement, the General Manager has overall supervisory and managerial responsibility for the daily operations of the venue ensuring desired outcomes (i.e., increased sales, profitability, and employee retention). The General Manager mobilizes the venue management team to oversee the financial controls, operations, people development, guest experience, and compliance within the venue.

What You\'ll Do
  • If it\'s happening in the venue, you are a part of it! Planning, executing, elevating - you do it all
  • You do what it takes to increase sales and minimize costs without compromising quality
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial /local laws, and ordinances
  • Manage all areas of the venue and make final decisions on matters of importance
  • Effectively communicate and interact with all departments across the venue including BOH management team, as well as BHC Head Office
  • While you\'re very focused on ensuring outstanding guest service, responding to complaints, taking appropriate action, and generating return guests - you also recognize the importance of employee experience and building a strong team culture
