General Labourer - Farm at Hacienda North Farms Inc.

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.

Work site environment: Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato), Confined spaces, At heights, Wet/damp, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated, Non-smoking.

Work setting: Rural area, Remote location.

Responsibilities

• Clean the crops
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market
• Greenhouse cleaning
• Hand harvesting vegetables
• Mixing fertilizer
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
• Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants
