12 hour shifts. Training could be on days or nights, but positions are all night positions once qualified. Day shift works 7am-7pm. Night shift work 7pm-7am. $2.00 night differential. Some training could be Monday-Friday on 8 hour shifts. Overtime and Weekends required.
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate a machine that runs cheese for some of the biggest restaurants and retailers in the world. Your role includes monitoring equipment and performing a variety of quality checks to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machine equipment for cheese production.
- Monitor equipment and perform quality checks to meet customer requirements.
- Wear required safety gear at no cost and follow good manufacturing practices.
- Maintain a satisfactory attendance record and be punctual.
- Work overtime, including weekends and off‑shifts, as required.
- Perform CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position.
- Follow reaction plans for food safety, food quality, and customer requirement deviations.
- Conduct manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework, and sort operations as needed.
- Work as part of a team and comply with plant policies and procedures.
- Utilize Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and complete projects directed by Department Team Leaders.
- Learn P.E. and SPS tools and support PE initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and reach shoulder height and above.
- Willingness to work weekends, off‑shifts, and overtime as needed.
- Basic math, counting, calculator, and basic computer skills.
- Forklift driving skills may be required.
- Must have authorization to work in the country where the role is located.
Physical Demands
- Stand up to 12 hours per day.
- Walk up to 50 minutes per hour.
- Sit up to 15 minutes per hour.
- Work in cold, hot, or wet environments up to 12 hours per day.
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds up to 4 times per hour.
- Bend, squat, or twist up to 15 minutes per hour.
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Reach shoulder height and above repetitively and frequently.
- Climb steps or ladders and work at heights occasionally.
- Quickly access different areas of the plant frequently.
Pay Scale
Starting $23.58; 24 months top out $27.77; Night differential $2.00.
