The community of Port Hawkesbury is seeking a full scope family physician to join their family practice network team in the Cape Breton South region on beautiful Cape Breton Island! This opportunity offers you the chance to work with a team of physicians, nurse practitioner, social worker, and dietician in a newly constructed (built in 2020) collaborative practice in the heart of the Town of Port Hawkesbury. Depending on your interests, there is opportunity to work closely with Strait Richmond Hospital (SRH) by covering emergency room shifts or inpatients through the Community Hospital Inpatient Program (CHIP), which allows for a nice work-life balance.
This region serves the health care needs of the residents of communities in Richmond County and the southern portion of Inverness County. Located in Evanston, SRH is approximately 80 kilometers from St. Martha’s Regional Hospital (one of the regional level referral centres for the population).
