NBI is proud to present our brand new Sensory Zone: an indoor accessible gym with accessible equipment and both drop off and drop in hours depending on the day! This space would also be available to rent for community events, such as birthdays or family gatherings, and will also host fun seasonal activities!

Summary

We are seeking a Front Desk Agent who will be located in the heart of our facility. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for families and clients, playing a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide quality care. You will be directly working with children (in addition to your front desk duties) to support, care for, and ensure they are safely interacting and engaging in the space. Your contributions will help create a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to nurturing behaviors.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
  • Assist clients and visitors with the check-in process and liability waivers, ensuring all participants have the required documentation prior to accessing the equipment.
  • Interact directly with the children who enter the facility. Engage and interact with all who enter, assist with any de-escalation and play; you are not just there to answer questions and assist with the space, but also to interact with the children.
  • Maintain organized office operations, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Show up on time for your shift, and ensure everything is in order prior to arrivals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support administrative functions such as filing, documentation, and clerical duties related to the Sensory Zone, in conjunction with the Respite Coordinator.
  • Record any incidents that occur during shift, adding any required information to client files.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Uphold office standards by maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Responsibilities include cleaning the gym throughout and after learners have left the building; responsible for open and closing duties of the gym to ensure everything is ready for therapy services the next day.
  • Direct queries to the appropriate parties (i.e. our different therapy departments) to better assist learners.
  • Assist with deescalating learners as needed, or watching/assisting clients as needed.
  • Run events as the on-call staff member: monitor and assist clients as needed (e.g., birthday parties or other events as scheduled).
  • Proven experience in front desk or customer service roles is essential.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
