Job description

As a dedicated member of the Nutrition Food Service (NFS) team, you could make a significant impact by providing nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, residents, staff, visitors, and the community. This is a RPT position located at Claresholm Center for Mental Health. You will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident, and customer experience. Under the general supervision of a Food Services Supervisor, you will use your customer service, teamwork and organizational skills to independently: Prepare, handle, portion and package food and beverages. Assemble trays in the kitchen and/or serve meals in a dining room setting. Provide patient meal delivery and pick up. Order and put away unit supplies. Safely operate and clean industrial food service equipment. Adhere to safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards in accordance with AHS policies and guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to: Work independently in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Communicate effectively in English with patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Work as an effective, professional team member.

Demonstrate a patient first approach as outlined in the AHS Foundational Strategies. Perform basic math functions to measure out food portions. Claresholmis a town located withinsouthern Alberta, Canada, approximately 91km northwest of the City ofLethbridgeand 125km south of the City ofCalgary. Claresholm is almost equally close to Waterton Lakes National Park.
