An exciting opportunity has become available for a Fleet Electrician. This position is based out of our Haileybury, Ontario facility.

Key Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Strict adherence to existing testing procedures and processes
  • Undertake project planning tasks, including job planning and EHS risk management
  • Perform HV electrical testing across all HV assets such as Drill rigs, cabling, generators, motors, transformers and switchgear
  • Record test results on the relevant test certificates and compile test reports [COC’s]
  • Liaise with client representatives
Key Skills and experience required:
  • Infallible focus on Safety
  • Current electrical license
  • Must be able to build High‑Voltage and Low‑Voltage electrical wiring
  • Must be able to build junction boxes, power distribution boxes, control panels and fuse boxes
  • Must have an excellent knowledge in high‑voltage safety of batteries and electrical wiring
  • Must be able to instrument the electric powertrain components for power analysis, current probes, voltage probes etc.
  • Must be well versed in reading and following electrical wiring schematics for safe system integration
  • Should be qualified in high‑voltage system implementation
  • Strong knowledge in automotive network design (CAN, Ethernet)
  • Good understanding of engine and vehicle controls interface
  • Must be able to lead technically and provide guidance
  • Must be able to propose technical solutions
  • Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques for electrical assets
  • Strong computer & communication skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook essential)
  • Ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
  • Excellent spoken & written communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • An HV Switching Ticket
