Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health Promotion.
• Current certifications in Group Fitness and CPR/First Aid/AED.
• Personal Training certification is preferred.
• Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset.
• Energetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and health.
• Works well as part of a team.
• High degree of self-motivation and initiative.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications.

Responsibilities

The Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for promoting and delivering fitness and wellness programming to employees in a corporate location, which includes teaching a variety of group exercise classes, monitoring the wellness facility, and organizing onsite wellness events.

• Supervision of a wellness facility space
• Instructing and scheduling of fitness classes and monitoring participation
• Monitoring facility usage to provide guidance and ensure safety of members
• Providing fitness and wellness programming and events
• Reporting of monthly and/or quarterly statistics
• Oversee contract fitness instructors & allied health professionals if required
