What You’ll Do

As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting, servicing, recharging, and repairing portable fire extinguishers according to NFPA standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Installing new fire extinguisher units at customer locations.
  • Conducting digital inspections using mobile software and submitting reports accurately and on time.
  • Delivering basic training to end users on the proper use of fire extinguishers.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Interpreting schematics, specifications, and manuals to complete tasks efficiently and correctly.
Qualifications & Skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work as a Fire Extinguisher Technician or related service technician role in the fire protection industry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Willingness to complete (or having completed) an accredited fire extinguisher technician course through SAIT, NAIT, Lakeland College, or equivalent. On-the-job training is available.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools such as drills.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders or scaffolding.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and Windows environment); experience with inspection software is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
