Job description

We are looking for a Restaurant Host to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests. The Host’s responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, managing the restaurants reservations and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas while generating excitement for the dining experience ahead. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You should also be available to work in shifts. Ultimately, you will ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests. Restaurant Hosts may also be scheduled to assist on the banquet floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Welcome & Seating: Greet guests warmly, manage reservations, provide accurate wait times, escort them to tables, and accommodate seating preferences.
  • Reservation & Waitlist Management: Use reservation systems, handle walk-ins, and update waiting guests.
  • Staff Coordination: Communicate with servers and management to balance tables, manage pacing, and note VIPs or special requests.
  • Guest Experience: Handle inquiries, answer phones, document guest preferences, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ambiance & Support: Maintain a spotless host stand and entry area, assist with light duties like clearing tables, and support other front-of-house needs.
