Forge Consulting Group is seeking a Financial Analyst on behalf of our client for their Windsor, Ontario hot stamping manufacturing facility.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Financial Analyst to support the Plant Controller. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to cost analysis, reporting, and payroll accuracy, while playing a key part in operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support purchasing decisions by evaluating outcomes and cost implications.

• Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities (raw material, inventory, labor).

• Compare actual costs to estimates, analyze results, and provide recommendations.

• Prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual production costs.

• Assess the impact of design changes, raw material variations, and process updates on costs.

• Maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accuracy and control over expenditures.

• Analyze cost audits and generate reports for management review.

• Provide cost estimates for new and proposed products.

• Deliver reports outlining pricing and profitability factors for products and services.

• Conduct physical inventories, monitor cycle counts, and reconcile variances.

• Assist in month-end close processes for the general ledger.

• Process and record hourly payroll transactions accurately and on schedule.

• Ensure timely and precise delivery of financial data to support business needs.

• Collaborate with the team to achieve shared objectives and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• Finance/accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in cost accounting systems with advanced analytical abilities.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Experience developing and analyzing cost standards.

• Proven ability to produce accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Finance/accounting experience in an automotive manufacturing setting.
