Job summary

A leading defense technology company in Cold Lake seeks a candidate for maintaining computer-based training systems. Responsibilities include operating software and maintaining databases. Candidates should have proficiency in PC software, communication skills, and the capacity to obtain security clearance. Shift work may be required. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
• Be able to work in Canada legally.
• Will need to acquire a passport for some international travel.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Physically fit to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties associated with system operations.
• Operate proprietary software used in computer-based training systems.
• Maintain database entries for recording maintenance and training activities.
• Work under the supervision of managers & technical personnel.
• Shift work is required.

Business Unit: Cubic Defense Company Details: Performs routine operation and maintenance duties associated with computer-based training systems. Work closely with customers and maintenance personnel to perform duties following established standards and practices. Job Details:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform duties associated with system operations
• Operate proprietary software used in computer-based training systems.
• Operate Real-Time monitoring software.
• Perform technical and non-technical tasks under supervision.
• Maintain database entries for recording maintenance and training activities.
• Able to learn a variety of software applications and utilities.
• Be able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Work under the supervision of managers & technical personnel.
• Shift work is required.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in PC software such as word processors and spreadsheet applications.
• Competency in computer hardware & operating systems.
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
• Be able to work in Canada legally
• Will need to acquire a passport for some international travel.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Physically fit to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders.
