Daily Responsibilities & How You’ll Succeed
  • Troubleshoot, repair and install printers and provide technical assistance with computer software pertaining to printer installations
  • Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, email, or remote login
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements for optimal printer functionality
  • Track customer issues and resolutions
Qualifications
  • Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing of MFP devices is required
  • Previous experience on Production printer repair is an asset but not required
  • Previous experience in IT is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills; willingness to learn
  • Printer / copier and laptop / desktop experience, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
  • Knowledge of using diagnostic tools, service aids, and product documentation, to assess and resolve equipment and system failures
  • Ability to maintain and complete accurate records and processing of paperwork.
  • We work in a team, however you must be able to work independently when at a customer location and follow processes. Remote support is available if needed.
  • Vehicle, phone, and laptop provided - must have valid G driver's license. You will be required to travel within Ottawa / Gatineau and surrounding areas
  • Travel expenses will be covered (ie. company car, gas and insurance)
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs
Requirements (if you’ve got these, we want to speak with you)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent people skills! You love meeting new people and can easily establish relationships
  • You’ve got computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A College diploma or University degree would be an asset but not required
  • Previous technical experience with printers or a recent graduate with technical knowledge
  • English fluency is mandatory and French is an asset, you must be eligible to work in Canada
