Job description

Overview

The new physician will integrate into a team of two experienced providers within a well-established and highly collaborative interdisciplinary environment. The medical staff is both committed and actively engaged, whereas the support staff is marked by their dedication and consistent stability. As part of the Primary Care Networks initiative, the clinic has robust connections with surrounding hospitals and medical professionals. It serves a diverse patient population spanning all age groups and a wide range of medical conditions. Salmo is conveniently located near the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, as well as Nelson and Castlegar. Opportunities for part-time roles at local hospitals are available, including positions in the Emergency, Obstetrics, inpatient care, OR assist, or Long-term care, depending on the physician\u2019s interests. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is closed on weekends and statutory holidays. Coverage is arranged in consultation with colleagues, and participation in local hospital rotas is encouraged.
