CA$38.95 / hr - CA$48.68 / hr

Position Title : Facilities Maintenance Technician / Trainer

Department : NWSCC

Location : North Bay

Security Clearance : Secret

Position Reports To : NWSCC Facilities Supervisor

Hours of Work : 37.5 hours / week

Summary

Reporting to the NWSCC Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT) / Trainer is responsible for providing technical support and training on Facilities systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the maintenance of NWS systems, including but not limited to, power generation, electrical distribution, HVAC Systems, water & sewage systems, and fire alarm / suppression systems.
  • Provides technical support to LRR Facilities Maintenance Technicians, NWSCC Crew Technicians, and LCMM / Engineers
  • Develop course training standards according to SOW requirements and updates in equipment / systems
  • Determine course content according to objectives
  • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, etc.)
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops, etc. in groups or individually
  • Analyzes equipment failures to determine the cause and recommends corrective action

Who You Are

Education :

Completion of a postsecondary program in an electromechanical systems or CF military equivalent.

Experience

A minimum of five years of experience on the job training working in a commercial or industrial setting. Previous experience developing and conducting technical training would be an asset.

Knowledge Of

  • Strong knowledge of building electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building structural systems, with ability to read and interpret related drawings and manuals.
  • Proficiency in the use of commercial test equipment and tools used in troubleshooting and repair of Facilities systems.
