Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience, preferably in marine.
  • No Canadian work experience required but must be eligible to work in Canada.

About the role

  • Provide support to the Vice President & Senior Claims Leader, which includes managing and organizing their calendar, making travel arrangements, scheduling and attending, as required, meetings to record minutes, writing correspondence, etc.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets on results.
  • Analyze requests for quotes and policy changes.
  • Provide support to Underwriting staff by completing renewal notes and processing.
  • Receive claims and assign adjusters nationally.
Qualifications
  • College diploma in administration or secretarial studies or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience, preferably in marine
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Can handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines
