We’re looking for a bright and motivated individual, someone who is ready to contribute to our growth. As the ideal candidate, you are excited by the opportunity to work towards building and managing your own client portfolio and provide effective leadership to your project team.

A Day in the life of Project Manager

  • Managing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and other environmental projects (i.e, monitoring, remediation); ensuring they are completed on time and on budget.
  • Performing Project Management duties both locally and with assistance of staff in other regions to manage national portfolios.
  • Assist project staff with the preparation of technical reports and recommendations.
  • Communicate with Clients and understand their project requirements.
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Participate in initiatives with the Marketing department and develop business development skills to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staff.

What You Bring To The Pinchin Team

  • Proven track record and experience with conducting and managing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • A bachelor’s degree in science (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or bachelor’s degree in engineering or Applied Science.
  • A P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is not required but is considered an asset.
  • 5-7 years of experience within environmental consulting, at least 2 of which should be in a project management position.
  • An understanding of current environmental regulations and standards within Nova Scotia.
  • Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management.
  • Experience with business development initiatives and client interaction.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated).
  • Strong communication skills & professional presentation.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • High level of attention to details.
