Job Description

Join Stantec as a Team Lead - Environmental Characterization and Remediation. The position is based at our office in Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec. Reporting to the Director of Operations (BCOL), you will be part of the management team of Environmental Services. You will use your leadership skills to guide and develop a highly competent and motivated team, while ensuring that projects meet and exceed our client’s expectations. This opportunity is for you if you want to grow your career, get out of your comfort zone, and want to enhance your technical, leadership and customer service skills.

Your main responsibilities

In addition to managing geo-environmental projects, you will have the following responsibilities as a team lead:

• Manage the resource allocation and professional development of Environmental Services team members working in your discipline.
• Supervise junior team members and support their career development.
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate information.
• Promote a culture of health and safety within the team.
• Support the team in achieving billability targets.
• Promote a culture of innovation within the team.
• Inspire a culture of collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Attract, develop, coach, and retain high quality talent.
• Conduct year-end performance appraisals of team members.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology, engineering or any related field.
• At least eight years' experience in environmental characterization & remediation.
• Fluent French (spoken and written).
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASP Construction card.
