Responsibilities
- Visit customer to increase brand recognition, value, and sales activity.
- Provide guidance and training to other team members on projects involving load tap changers.
- Increase RESA Power’s market share in LTC service business and implement growth strategy for the LTC business unit.
- Assist in managing technical projects and provide overall guidance to project management and service team.
- Develop work scope based on customer input and relay customer need to project management and other needed RESA parties.
- Assist in project planning, budget estimation, revenue and cost allocation to ensure budget targets are managed accordingly.
- Create and manage project controls to achieve projects on time and on budget.
- Ensure overall project risks are identified, managed and mitigated.
- Ensure operations support is maintained throughout the project life cycle.
- Prepare reports for Senior Leadership on project status and project outcomes.
- Authorize, within spending authority, budgeted commitments and expenditures for the supply of goods and services.
- Measure and monitor the performance of project execution and determine all measures which may be required to handle any adverse trends in regard to safety, schedule and cost.
- Manage electrical projects or portions of projects from the development of cost estimates and justifications.
- Direct and coordinate the work performed by subordinates, engineering consultants and contractors, maintaining overall schedules as part of the project team.
- Provide electrical technical guidance and expertise to management, engineers, and electrical crafts at operations.
- Oversee and prepare bid documents, including equipment and construction specifications, drawings and schedules, reviewing documents prepared by subordinates and consultants.
- Provide guidance during LTC projects, including interface with operating personnel and on-site contractors, providing oversight of startup and commissioning activities as required.
- Develop and assist with the development of RESA’s LTC Service business including capabilities, training implementation, customer attrition/retention, vendor supply chain, standard operator practices, and organization structure.
- Act as liaison with the customer to eliminate communication deficiencies and ensure overall project quality compliance.
- Evaluate electrical equipment malfunctions and provide recommended design modifications to mitigate such issues.
- Maintain company electrical records including files and drawings.
- Oversee electrical design and installation of instrumentation, control systems, monitoring and communication systems with respect to design parameters.
- Provide quality control of transformer service and LTC projects.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Previous professional experience in power engineering studies and design experience in industrial projects is preferred.
- Experience with electric power systems, short-circuit, protective coordination, load flow, arc flash hazard analysis.
- Knowledge of a power system analysis software.
- Proven skills in written and oral communication of technical topics.
- Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
- Interpret specs to our customer requests to design technical solutions.
- Short-Circuit, LV/MV Coordination, Arc Flash.
- Ability to run medium studies and projects unassisted.
- Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
- Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
- Strong communication (written and oral).
- Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to meet project deliverables, meet Customer, job, and business expectations on projects.
- Able to work with various people throughout the organization—Customer Focused.

Additional Information
Travel: 0-25%
Physical Demands: Lifting a minimum of 50lbs on a daily basis, crawling, climbing, standing for long periods of time, and working in non‑ideal conditions. Also responsible for completing computer work.
