Overview

Electrical Assembler (Level 1 & 2)

We are seeking Electrical Assemblers (Level 1 & Level 2) to join our Production team. These positions are responsible for assembling subassemblies and finished products, performing electrical tests, following schematics, and ensuring product quality and on-time delivery. Assemblers report directly to the Production Leads and Production Manager.

Location: Forest, Virginia 24551

Schedule: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday – Friday

Pay rate: Starting at $19.00/hr (based on experience and level)

Responsibilities
  1. Assemble a variety of electrical subassemblies and finished products per specifications.
  2. Use blueprints, electrical schematics, verbal instructions, and production boards.
  3. Perform functional and operating tests using checklists and testing instruments.
  4. Identify and install electrical components and wiring correctly.
  5. Cut and crimp wires, route and secure wiring neatly.
  6. Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and safety protocols at all times.
  7. Minimize scrap and rework; build to standard specifications.
  8. Record production data daily and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work area (5S).
  9. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
  10. Proactively suggest improvements and report malfunctioning tools or equipment.
  11. Participate in safety, group, and departmental meetings.
  12. Package and document all components for shipment.
  13. Train and assist less experienced employees.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. 1–2 years of experience in electrical or general manufacturing assembly.
  3. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  4. Familiarity with identifying wire color, gauge, and conductor types.
  5. Skilled in cutting, crimping, stripping, routing, and attaching wires.
  6. Knowledge of electrical components and connections.
  7. Understanding of Lock-Out/Tag-Out safety procedures.
  8. Able to use basic hand tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment.
  9. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  10. Able to perform basic functional tests using standard checklists.
  11. Basic shop math skills required.
  12. Familiarity with basic PC applications (email, data entry, etc.).
  13. Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  14. Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  15. Willingness to train, assist, and support less experienced team members.
  16. Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  17. Willing and able to work scheduled overtime as needed.
  18. Steel-toed boots are required
